ARTWORK DESIGN REQUIREMENTS

• Uploaded graphic: Files should be at a resolution of 300dpi. See chart below for DPI and sizes. If you need to check the dpi on an image, go here.

• Not Accepted: Photos of tattoos on people or paper are not accepted for custom tattoo graphics.

• Classic: Choose which areas you would like to have a white ink effect added after you choose your finish or at the top of the design app. You can also add a specific note to your white ink choice here as well.

• Semi-Permanent Tattoos: are produced with Black and White images only. They include no shading, so anything uploaded with shading will either turn black or not show up on the skin. Need help? Convert your artwork to black and white here.

• Glow-in-the-Dark: Be mindful that the areas in white will be what glows when the tattoo is printed.

UNDERSTANDING TATTOO FINISHES

• Classic Tattoo – These are the traditional temporary tattoo you remember as a kid. You can use any design for these tattoos. This tattoo will last 4-7 days.

• Semi-Permanent Tattoos – Our INKFINITY™ semi-permanent tattoo is the first of its kind. You can enjoy a more realistic looking tattoo on your skin for up to 14 days. You will need to follow our above instructions on uploading the best artwork for these tattoos as they only work with black and white images. Grayscale images with shading will not develop properly on the skin.

• Glitter Tattoos- You can use any design for these tattoos. Glitter temporary tattoos bring such a fun aspect to temporary tattoos. We overlay a sparkly layer of glitter to your design and just like that you are sporting custom bling! This tattoo will last 4-7 days.

• Glow-in-the-Dark Tattoos- You can use any design for these tattoos. However, you will want to be mindful that the areas in white will be what glows when the tattoo is printed. This tattoo will last 4-7 days.

• Metallic Tattoos - You can use any design for these tattoos. We enhance the tattoo with a metallic layer that allows the colors of your tattoo to shine bright with that fun metallic sheen. This tattoo will last 4-7 days.

WHAT IS THE IMPRINT AND TRIM SIZE FOR THE TATTOOS?

For custom temporary tattoos up to 3" x 3" in size, we need a small space between your design and the edge of the paper. This space is about 1/8" on all sides, making your tattoo a bit smaller than the paper itself. For instance, a 2" x 2" tattoo will be about 1.75" x 1.75" in size. If you're ordering a larger tattoo sheet, like over 3" x 3", we'll need a slightly bigger space of about 3/8" around your design. When producing a temporary tattoo, only your design will be printed with the artwork you provided, fitting it specifically to the tattoo paper size ordered, less trim size margins. Your design is the only thing printed, not the entire size of the tattoo sheet. This eliminates any need to die cut the paper to the size of your tattoo.

HOW LONG DO TEMPORARY TATTOOS LAST?

Our classic temporary tattoos last 3-5 days and our INKFINITY™ Semi-Permanent tattoos last 7-14 days, depending on the size and placement of the tattoo. For the best application, be sure your skin is dry and free of oil, lotion, and makeup. Choose a smooth, hair-free area that doesn’t crease or stretch when you move. Once applied, our classic tattoos are waterproof right away, so they won’t come off in the shower or pool. For our INKFINITY™ semi-permanent tattoos we recommend not getting the area wet or moist for 12 hours.

HOW TO APPLY A CUSTOM TEMPORARY TATTOO?

INKFINITY™ Semi-Permanent: These tattoos require a few more steps and we recommend following the card you receive with your tattoo and review these instructions, HERE.

Traditional Temporary Tattoos: Our traditional temporary tattoos are fast and easy to apply; and all you need is water and a wet cloth. Your skin should be clean, dry, and free of lotion, oils, and makeup. First, remove the clear, protective top sheet. Then, press the tattoo firmly onto your skin with the design facing down. Hold a wet cloth against the back of the tattoo, press down and make sure to wet the paper thoroughly. Wait 30 seconds and slowly peel off the paper backing. Gently rinse the image with water for the best result and allow the tattoo to dry before touching or covering it with clothing. HOW TO REMOVE A CUSTOM TEMPORARY TATTOO?

Our Tattoo Gone™ Temporary Tattoo Removal Wipes are the fastest and safest way to remove your temporary tattoo. We include one with every tattoo you order. Our Removal Wipes are skin-safe for all ages, and let you remove any temporary tattoo with ease. Simply unfold and apply the wipe over the area where your temporary tattoo is placed, and gently massage until it’s removed entirely. You can also use other items generally found around the home, such as eye makeup remover, baby oil, or rubbing alcohol. READ MORE
