What types of payment do you accept?

Payment is required at the time of your order. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, AMEX or PayPal.

 

Is sales tax applicable?

Yes, sales tax is calculated on the current tax rate of the shipping jurisdiction provided on your order.

 

SHIPPING

U.S. Orders

Orders shipping within the U.S. will be sent USPS or FedEx.

Stock Tattoos: Generally ship within 1-2 business days. Orders for Stock Tattoos over $50.00 are shipped for free. Stock tattoo orders with quantities of 200+ may require additional processing time of 5-7 business days. 

Custom Orders: Generally ship within 5-7 business days and shipping costs are additional.

You will see the shipping cost displayed in the shopping cart for the options available for your order. We will also ship by your carrier of choice when you provide your account number and any other necessary information to do so. This does not apply to our U.S. free shipping offer.

Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping acknowledgement and tracking number.

International Orders

We ship worldwide and shipping costs will apply for all orders shipping outside of the U.S.

These orders may be subject to duties, taxes and other import fees. Unfortunately, we don't have the ability to include these fees during checkout because every country has different policies. As a result, we do not collect any taxes or duties and are your responsibility to pay with your country. Please refer to your country's customs regulations who will be able to provide information on how duties are set, where to pay them, and any other details.

 

ORDERING

How can I check on the status of my order?

You will receive an order acknowledgement email immediately after placing your order. A follow up email with a ship date and order details will be sent once your order ships. You can also check the status of an order by contacting Sales@TemporaryTattoos.com.

 

DESIGNING YOUR OWN CUSTOM TATTOO

 

What is the minimum/maximum custom temporary tattoo quantities that I can purchase?

Due to our manufacturing process, the minimum order quantity for classic custom temporary tattoos is 200 pieces per design and 1,000 for Metallic, Glow-in-the-Dark or Glitter tattoos. There is no maximum order size

Can I make changes to my order?

Any changes requested after you place your order may delay production time and be subject to change fees. Please reach out to Sales@TemporaryTattoos.com to make your request.

 

How many colors can I have in my design?

All of our classic temporary tattoos are printed in full-color, using a CMYK 4-color imprinting process, so your design can have as many colors as you would like. Because we use proprietary skin-safe, cosmetic-grade inks, we cannot match exact PMS colors; however, we can achieve very close equivalents.

Will I receive a digital proof of my artwork for custom temporary tattoos?

We do not automatically provide digital proofs. Our experienced, professional creative team will make any copy changes or touch-ups necessary free of charge. If you need to review a proof, please make a note in the special instructions when you place your order. We will then provide a digital proof and require written return approval via email before we proceed with your order. Once approved, we are not responsible for any errors or edits made. A proof may add 1-2 business days.

Are there any charges for artwork touch-up or set-up for my custom tattoo order?

There are never any charges for touch-up or set-up of your artwork.

Can I have my website or other information printed on the back of my custom temporary tattoos?

Yes! We will print your website, social media accounts, a promotion code, or any other information, in black ink, on the back of your custom temporary tattoos at no charge. Please note this information in when you place your order and upload your artwork.

What artwork formats do you accept for custom temporary tattoos?

We can work with nearly every type of digital file, with the exception of CorelDraw files (.cdr) or artwork saved in Microsoft Office formats (.docx, .pptx, .xlsx). We prefer files with higher resolutions, color-corrected, flattened CMYK. If your file is a .jpg, .png, or .psd, please be sure the resolution is a minimum of 300 dpi at the tattoo size you are ordering. Any vector .eps or .ai files should have the fonts saved/converted as outlines and all placed images should be embedded.

Can I request pre-production samples before placing an order?

Unfortunately, we do not produce pre-production samples.

How are my custom and in-stock temporary tattoos packaged?

Each custom temporary tattoo is individually cut to size and has a clear, protective cover. Custom temporary tattoos are bundled in quantities of 200 and bulk bagged. In-stock temporary tattoos are delivered in a protective polybag or package. Special packaging options are available. Give us a call and we can work out just about any package no matter how complicated.

How long do temporary tattoos last on skin?

Our temporary tattoos last 3-5 days, depending on the size and placement of the tattoo. For the best application, be sure your skin is dry and free of oil, lotion and makeup. Choose a smooth, hair-free area that doesn’t crease or stretch when you move. Once applied, our tattoos are waterproof, so they won’t come off in the shower or pool.

Are temporary tattoos safe for application on my skin?

Of course! Our tattoos are safe and non-toxie for all ages. We manufacture them right here in the U.S.A. using skin-safe, FDA certified cosmetic-grade inks. All our tattoos meet US, Canadian, and European Union safety standards for cosmetic and toy products. Certification documentation is available upon request. Learn more here. How are temporary tattoos applied?

Our temporary tattoos are fast and easy to apply; and all you need is water and a wet cloth. Your skin should be clean, dry, and free of lotion, oils, and makeup. First, remove the clear, protective top sheet. Then, press the tattoo firmly onto your skin with the design facing down. Hold a wet cloth against the back of the tattoo, press down and make sure to wet the paper thoroughly. Wait 30 seconds and slowly peel off the paper backing. Gently rinse the image with water for the best result and allow the tattoo to dry before touching or covering with clothing. How are temporary tattoos removed?

Our Tattoo Gone™ Temporary Tattoo Removal Wipes are the fastest and safest way to remove your temporary tattoo. We include one with every tattoo you order. Our Removal Wipes are skin-safe for all ages, and let you remove any temporary tattoo with ease. Simply unfold and apply the wipe over the area where your temporary tattoo is placed, and gently massage until it’s removed entirely. You can also use other items generally found around the home, such as eye makeup remover, baby oil, or rubbing alcohol.

Our Content Guidelines for Custom Tattoos

At TemporaryTattoos.com we know that tattoos are used for self-expression. And we want to empower you to express yourself. We also understand that tattoo art is subjective. Certain designs, terms or concepts, while sensitive for some, can often be a source of empowerment and expression for others.

Any designs we receive are reviewed by our team to ensure they follow our community guidelines. Sometimes this means we won’t be able to create your desired design. If this is the case, our team will always reach out to you and explain why and how we can help.

 

Our Guiding Principles

Our key considerations when reviewing a design:

  1. How can a specific design, without context, be interpreted by others?
  2. What’s the intended context or use of the design?
  3. Does a design exhibit any characteristics outlined in the multiple categories below?
  4. Would we ever include it as part of our TemporaryTattoos.com website?

 

Our Content Guidelines

We offer these guidelines to give you a sense of how we evaluate submitted designs:

  1. Mature Language. We are able to produce tattoos that include swearing and adult language, for the most part. However, if a design is specifically directed at someone in a malicious or dehumanizing manner, we will ask you to revise the language.
  2. We do not accept any design that is, by nature, racist. In cases where hate groups have appropriated commonly known non-hateful icons, our team tends to error on the side of caution and will generally not proceed.
  3. Violence or Threats.We do not accept any designs that promote or glorify violence or suggest a threat against another person or group.
  4. Sexual Content.Explicit or graphic pornographic images should not be used for custom tattoos, including any images featuring nudity. We will certainly and automatically decline any designs featuring minors or depict any form of non-consent.
  5. We do not accept any design that is homophobic or hateful against anyone in the LGBTQ+ community.
  6. Sexism and Misogyny. If we determine that the phrasing or grammar of a tattoo can be considered sexually derogatory, we will not create it.
  7. Public Figures and Groups. We do not accept any design that references, or features images related to, public figures and groups that promotes hate, racism, violence, sexism, misogyny, or homophobia.
  8. Drug Use. We do accept designs featuring alcohol, marijuana, and pharmaceuticals, but will not accept designs featuring illicit drugs or depict the use of illicit drugs.
  9. Current Events. We typically accept designs that reference current events and popular culture; however, we will not accept designs deemed to be in poor taste or make light of tragedy or cultural issues.

 

When creating your custom tattoo, we'll use our discretion to determine if your design exhibits any of these characteristics. If we are unable to ascertain its meaning or intent, we may reach out to you for further context or information.

If we believe your design does not follow any of these guidelines, or if there are additional considerations outside of our guidelines, our team will reach out with either suggested edits or possibly a cancellation of your order.
