Semi-Permanent are our latest innovation in temporary tattoos. Our proprietary formula offers an unrivaled long-lasting semi-permanent tattoo experience. As you shop, all of our Semi-Permanent designs are identified by the  Hourglass watermark in the design’s upper right corner. You’ll find more than 200 stylish designs across 10 popular themes. As a new and distinctive collection, Semi-Permanent tattoos do require extra attention in their application and care – but don’t worry, everything you need is included in your order.

What types of payment do you accept?

Payment is required at the time of your order. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, AMEX or PayPal.

Is sales tax applicable?

Yes, sales tax is calculated on the current tax rate of the shipping jurisdiction provided on your order.

Your satisfaction is important to us. We stand behind the quality of every product we produce. If we make a mistake or your order arrives damaged or defective, we'll work with you to make it right.

If you experience an issue with your order, please contact our Customer Experience team within 14 days of delivery. We may refuse a refund request if we find evidence of abuse.

 

Return Eligibility

Stock Products

Stock products are eligible for a replacement or refund when:

  • The product arrives damaged.
  • The product contains a manufacturing or printing defect.
  • An incorrect item was shipped.
  • Items are no longer wanted. (North America Only)

 

Custom Products

Every custom product is made specifically for you and is considered Final Sale.

However, if your custom order has a manufacturing defect, printing error, or arrives damaged, we'll review your claim and, when appropriate:

  • Reprint your order at no charge.
  • Issue a refund if a replacement cannot reasonably resolve the issue.

Customer-submitted design errors are not considered production defects.

 

Sale Items

All sale and clearance items are Final Sale.

 

International Orders

Orders shipped outside of North America are Final Sale.

If your order arrives damaged or contains a verified manufacturing defect, please contact us and we'll review your claim.

 

How to Request a Replacement or Refund

To help us resolve your request quickly, please provide:

  • Your order number
  • A description of the issue
  • Clear photographs showing the problem

Because our products are intended for skin application, physical returns are not required.

 

Customer Responsibilities

Before submitting your order, please carefully review your design.

You are responsible for confirming:

  • Spelling
  • Grammar
  • Punctuation
  • Capitalization
  • Dates
  • Image placement
  • Layout
  • Size
  • That artwork is not mirrored or reversed unless intentionally designed that way

Uploaded artwork should be high resolution. Images that are blurry, pixelated, or low quality may not produce satisfactory printed results.

Customer-submitted errors—including spelling mistakes, incorrect sizing, low-resolution images, mirrored artwork, formatting issues, or incorrect uploads—are not eligible for replacement or refund.

 

Production Review

Our production process differs slightly by product.

Each custom design is reviewed by our production team before printing to identify potential print-quality concerns.

If we identify an issue that could affect the final product, we'll contact you whenever possible.

This review is intended to improve print quality and does not replace your responsibility to verify your design before submitting your order.

 

Production Timeline

Production times vary by product and begin after your order has been approved for production.

If additional clarification or artwork adjustments are required, production times may be extended.

Once production begins, changes or cancellations cannot be guaranteed.

 

Product Expectations

Printed products may vary slightly due to:

  • Printing processes
  • Product materials
  • Screen and monitor settings
  • Individual skin tone and chemistry

For TemporaryTattoos.com products, semi-permanent tattoos develop over approximately 24–48 hours, and final color will vary by individual skin chemistry.

 

Intellectual Property & Content Guidelines

By submitting artwork, you certify that:

  • You own or have permission to use all uploaded artwork, logos, trademarks, photographs, and other content.
  • Your design does not infringe on another party's intellectual property rights.

Orders that violate our Content Guidelines or intellectual property policies may be cancelled prior to production.

 

Packaging Disclaimer

For products that allow customized packaging or tattoo backing cards, legally required compliance information may still appear alongside your artwork as required by applicable regulations.

 

Additional Notes on Our Products

  • Semi-permanent tattoos require approximately 24–48 hours to fully develop.
  • Final appearance will vary based on individual skin chemistry.

 

Resolution Process

When a claim is submitted, our Customer Experience team will:

  1. Review your order information and photos.
  2. Determine whether the issue is a manufacturing defect, shipping damage, or customer-submitted design error.
  3. When appropriate, provide a replacement.
  4. If a replacement is not appropriate or does not resolve the issue, issue a refund.

Lost or Stolen Packages

Once an order has been shipped, delivery is the responsibility of the shipping carrier.

Lost in Transit
If your tracking has not updated for an extended period or your package appears to be lost in transit, please contact our Customer Experience team. We will work with the carrier to investigate and, when appropriate, arrange a replacement or refund.

Marked as Delivered
If your tracking indicates your package was delivered but you cannot locate it, please:

  • Check around your delivery location and with household members or neighbors.
  • Allow up to 48 hours, as carriers occasionally mark packages as delivered before they arrive.
  • Contact the shipping carrier to initiate a delivery investigation.

Packages confirmed as delivered by the carrier may not be eligible for replacement or refund. However, we will review each situation individually and assist whenever possible.

SHIPPING

U.S. Orders

Orders shipping within the U.S. will be sent USPS or FedEx.

Stock Tattoos: Generally ship within 1-2 business days. Orders for Stock Tattoos over $50.00 are shipped for free. Stock tattoo orders with quantities of 200+ may require additional processing time of 5-7 business days. 

Semi-Permanent Tattoos - Custom and Stock designs are made fresh for your order. Due to this the processing time is 5-7 business days. 

Custom Orders: Generally ship within 5-7 business days and shipping costs are additional. Specialty products will have additional production time. Please reach out if you need an exact shipping date.

You will see the shipping cost displayed in the shopping cart for the options available for your order. We will also ship by your carrier of choice when you provide your account number and any other necessary information to do so. This does not apply to our U.S. free shipping offer.

Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping acknowledgement and tracking number.

International Orders

We ship worldwide and shipping costs will apply for all orders shipping outside of the U.S.

These orders may be subject to duties, taxes and other import fees. Unfortunately, we don't have the ability to include these fees during checkout because every country has different policies. As a result, we do not collect any taxes or duties and are your responsibility to pay with your country. Please refer to your country's customs regulations who will be able to provide information on how duties are set, where to pay them, and any other details.


ORDERING

How can I check on the status of my order?

You will receive an order acknowledgement email immediately after placing your order. A follow up email with a ship date and order details will be sent once your order ships. You can also check the status of an order by contacting Sales@TemporaryTattoos.com.


DESIGNING YOUR OWN CUSTOM TATTOO

What is the minimum/maximum custom temporary tattoo quantities that I can purchase?

1 to 1 Million... ok and more. There is no minimums or maximum order sizes on Classic tattoos. On our specialty finished Glitter, Glow and Metallic there is a min. of 1,000.

Can I make changes to my order?

Orders cannot be changed once submitted. Our production process flows right to printing and shipping. 

How many colors can I have in my design?

All of our classic temporary tattoos are printed in full-color, using a CMYK 4-color imprinting process, so your design can have as many colors as you would like. Because we use proprietary skin-safe, cosmetic-grade inks, we cannot match exact PMS colors; however, we can achieve very close equivalents.

Will I receive a digital proof of my artwork for custom temporary tattoos?

We do not automatically provide digital proofs. Please review your image as it is designed on the design canvas. 

Free Tattoo Wipes

We will include one free wipe per tattoo up to 5 free Tattoo Gone Wipes for stock tattoo orders not sold at clearance pricing. Semi-Permanent tattoos do not come with removers as they don't work to remove these tattoos.

Can I have my website or other information printed on the back of my custom temporary tattoos?

Yes! With a min order of 100 tattoos on Classic and 1000 on Glitter, Glow, and Metallic. We will print your website, social media accounts, a promotion code, or any other information, in black ink, on the back of your custom temporary tattoos at no charge. Please note this information in when you place your order and upload your artwork.

What artwork formats do you accept for custom temporary tattoos?

We require files to be high resolution, .jpg, or .png, please be sure they are at least 300 dpi at the size you want printed. 

Can I request pre-production samples before placing an order?

Unfortunately, we do not produce pre-production samples.

How are my custom and in-stock temporary tattoos packaged?

Each custom temporary tattoo is individually cut to size and has a clear, protective cover. Custom temporary tattoos are bundled in quantities of 200 and bulk bagged. In-stock temporary tattoos are delivered in a protective polybag or package. 


ABOUT OUR TATTOOS

How long do temporary tattoos last on skin?

Our temporary tattoos last 3-5 days, depending on the size and placement of the tattoo. Semi-Permanent tattoos last 7-10 days and develop over the first 24-48 hours.  For the best application, be sure your skin is dry and free of oil, lotion and makeup. Choose a smooth, hair-free area that doesn’t crease or stretch when you move. Once applied, our tattoos are waterproof, so they won’t come off in the shower or pool.

Are temporary tattoos safe for application on my skin?

Of course! Our tattoos are safe and non-toxic for all ages. We manufacture them right here in the U.S.A. using skin-safe, FDA certified cosmetic-grade inks. All our tattoos meet US, Canadian, and European Union safety standards for cosmetic and toy products. Certification documentation is available upon request. Learn more here.

How are temporary tattoos applied?

Our temporary tattoos are fast and easy to apply; and all you need is water and a wet cloth. Your skin should be clean, dry, and free of lotion, oils, and makeup. First, remove the clear, protective top sheet. Then, press the tattoo firmly onto your skin with the design facing down. Hold a wet cloth against the back of the tattoo, press down and make sure to wet the paper thoroughly. Wait 30 seconds and slowly peel off the paper backing. Gently rinse the image with water for the best result and allow the tattoo to dry before touching or covering with clothing. How are temporary tattoos removed?

Our Tattoo Gone™ Temporary Tattoo Removal Wipes are the fastest and safest way to remove your temporary tattoo. We include one with every tattoo you order. Our Removal Wipes are skin-safe for all ages, and let you remove any temporary tattoo with ease. Simply unfold and apply the wipe over the area where your temporary tattoo is placed, and gently massage until it’s removed entirely. You can also use other items generally found around the home, such as eye makeup remover, baby oil, or rubbing alcohol.
